TTGE VETERANS SHINE AT FIFA-E 2023
The weekend of May 20th and 21st was a high-stakes, heart-racing sprint to the finish line as we geared up for the FIFAe Nations Cup 2023 finals. The venue remains a mystery, but the thrill is unquestionable!
TTGE's shining stars, Kaylan Moodley, Julio Bianchi, Deevak Dhanjee, and the recent SAFA eCup champion, Zaid April, are no strangers to our gaming community. These formidable FIFA 23 pros, veterans of TTGE tournaments, joined forces to conquer the fiercely fought Playoffs. They'll proudly wear the colours of the Middle East and Africa zone alongside Qatar and Morocco in the 2v2 tournament showdown.
Back in April, our gamers battled it out in Online Qualifiers, challenging returning and new member associations from Africa and the Middle East. Their tireless efforts won them a coveted spot in the competition's last online round. Launching from Johannesburg into the Playoffs, they started strong against Kuwait, seizing a 5-1 victory in their first match and clinching a 5-3 win on aggregate over two legs.
Despite a 7-5 aggregate setback against Morocco, our team found themselves in the Loser’s Bracket - but this was far from the end of their journey. A nail-biting 6-5 triumph over Egypt and a tight 5-4 rematch victory against Kuwait marked their glorious entry into the Finals.
The FIFAe Nations Cup 2023 draw and date remain under wraps, but our team's place at the finals is secure, setting the stage for an electrifying showdown against the world's top FIFA 23 players.
As they gear up for the mid-year main event, we at TTGE couldn't be prouder of our players' achievements. Their journey is a testament to the competitive, high-spirited nature of the TTGE community and an inspiration to all our gamers.
