YEAR'S CON!

THE TTGE CARSPLAY COMPETITION
IS REVVING UP COMIC CON.
COMIC CON AFRICA IS FULL OF SUPERHEROES. THIS YEAR, WE'RE EXPECTING SOME SUPER CARS. TAKE YOUR SHOT AT COSPLAYING YOUR FAVOURITE TOYOTA ON THE MAIN STAGE FOR R10 000.
WHAT IT IS
The Toyota Gaming Engine is bringing South Africa's first carsplay category to Comic Con Africa 2026. Cosplay, but for cars. Pick your favourite Toyota, turn yourself into it, and take the main stage on Saturday 26 September for the best of show comp! Literal, humanoid, futuristic, fantasy, stylised - it's up to you. Judges are scoring imagination and craft, not budget, so cardboard and hot glue are as welcome as workshop-grade builds.
Think Corolla Hatchet. SupraSonic. Quantum Leap. Yarisia. bZ4X. What will you build?

You have to be able to move safely through the venue and on stage. Wearing something big? Nominate a handler on the form.
