From the humble beginnings of a weekly Saturday race, the World Tactical Racing League (WTRL) has become known for some of the best virtual e-sport events. In July 2020, WTRL became an exclusive partner to Zwift Inc. to collaborate and run the Zwift Racing League (ZRL) – a global structure attracting over 15 000 athletes every season. The ZRL consists of a Premier Division for elite teams and then 5 continental-based Leagues housing over 120 divisions and around 1 800 teams.

After a strong finish to last season, the Toyota CRYO RDT team is looking to move from strength to strength. The new 2021/22 Season 1 kicks off on Monday, 11 October, and will be the first time both the Men’s and Women’s teams compete at the highest level. It’s an exciting debut in the Premier Division for the Men’s team, after competing in the Community Division in previous seasons. The Women’s team are excited to once again meet the challenge in the new season to top the league as the best female team on Zwift.

When the team steps out for the season-opening Makuri Islands race, they will be rocking a new Toyota CRYO RDT physical kit to go with this new thrilling chapter of e-cycling. Both teams look leaner and meaner with fresh faces coming in. Leon Philipp Gottwald (GER) and Bart Van Den Eeckhaut (BEL) are new additions to the Men’s CRYO RDT line-up, while the Women’s team welcomes back Leonie Dijkstra (NED) and Elke Thurman (GER) to the Premier Division Squad.

Keep up with all the action here.
